Dear NHA family,
We give thanks to the Lord and delight in announcing our new partnership with the Georgia GOAL scholarship program! Georgia’s Qualified Education Expense law permits taxpayers to take a Georgia state income tax credit for amounts contributed to qualified student scholarship organizations (SSOs). In recognition of the success and popularity of the program, in 2018, Georgia’s elected officials almost doubled the available education tax credits from $58 million to $100 million per year. The contributions must be used to provide scholarships to students who desire to transfer from public to a private school or who are eligible to enter pre-K4, kindergarten or 1st grade at a private school.
NHA is now partnering with the Georgia GOAL Scholarship Program, to award scholarships to families with students who wish to enroll in NHA. Our partnership allows you to ‘redirect’ a portion of your Georgia income tax liability to NHA to be used for financial aid for these families. By contributing to NHA, you are simply taking advantage of an amazing opportunity to keep your state income tax dollars “local” by benefiting deserving families who long to give their children a Christ-centered education.
Georgia taxpayers can re-direct all or a portion of their Georgia income taxes to GOAL by making a tax-credit eligible contribution and designating that the contribution be used to provide scholarships at our school. Thus, NHA will be able to increase the financial aid that it can offer new students and potentially increase school enrollment.
Individual taxpayers can receive a Georgia income tax credit for contributions to GOAL of up to $1,000. Married couples can contribute up to $2,500 and receive a corresponding tax credit. Significantly, the individual owners of pass-through entities are able to contribute up to $10,000 in exchange for a Georgia income tax credit. Finally, “C” corporations and trusts may contribute up to 75% of their Georgia income tax liability and receive a corresponding state income tax credit.
To make a qualified contribution to GOAL to provide scholarships at NHA, simply submit your application to GOAL at this link: www.goalscholarship.org, and GOAL will handle the remainder of the process for you and will keep you informed every step of the way. Thank you for your continued support!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – NHA is awarded ACSI Accreditation
Submission Date: December 12, 2017
Release Date: For Immediate Release
Dear NHA Family,
It is with a heart full of gratitude for the Lord and for all of our NHA staff and families that I write to you this evening. After 3 long years of working hard to improve our North Henry Academy spiritually and academically, we have been official approved by the governing board of the Association of Christian Schools International for accreditation. This means that we are one of the select few schools to have achieved this level of spiritual and academic quality. We should all be very thankful for God's help and for all of the work and sacrifices that have been made by so many individuals over the past 3 years.
Now, we have not reached the finish line, but we are at the starting line of racing forward to be all God wants us to be. We will continue to strive to improve in all areas and to become a school of excellence to please the Lord and to serve our students and families. This will be a great help as we depend on God's power to change the world one child at a time.
There are many people I could thank, but I will not mention names. All of you who labored and sacrificed to bring this about know who you are. The satisfaction is seeing how it impacts all of our NHA family. Let's keep on being faithful and working together to do God's will at North Henry Academy.
In Christ's Love,
Stan Jordan
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – NHA officially announces plans to proceed with addition of high school
Submission Date: January 23, 2018
Release Date: For Immediate Release
Dear NHA Parents, Grandparents & Guardians,
As you know, we have recently been awarded accreditation through ACSI and we are so excited to be able to bring that distinction to the Academy. Everyone’s diligent efforts paid off tremendously! We are grateful to the Lord for His faithfulness throughout the process.
We are now beginning to be able to add to our many dreams and desires for our school and we wanted to be able to include you in the excitement. The Ministry Team, together with the Administration, have decided to proceed with beginning the High School for next school year, 2018-2019. Ninth grade will be offered first; and with the Lord’s provision, we will continue adding the next higher grade with each passing year. That would mean that our current 8th graders would have the privilege of being NHA’s first graduating class in May of 2022!!!
The 8th graders and their parents will have a meeting this week. Stay tuned for a meeting date announcement designed for 5th-7th grade parents. We are looking forward to sharing more about these plans in the near future. These are exciting times!
Warmest Regards,
Stan Jordan & Cynthia Temple
